My Office

August 11, 2017 / 0 Comments

In twenty five years of teaching I never had a room of my own.  Now I have a palatial office.

By school standards this is gorgeous.  It’s old but clean–another upgrade.   I’ve been issued a laptop a Macbook Air with Photoshop!  The laptop connects without issue but my desktop will not.  There is a carded system for the printer and so far that is rejecting me too.  I’m on the list with tech, proof that some things never change.

Since I have been doing roster and schedules no printing access has been a hassle.  The one and only secretary is great.  I’ve had to email files to here for printing and then run down the hall to retrieve.

I had a small file of new schedules and the printer was set for double sided.  Oh no!  The schedules we appropriately formatted allowing me to split them using the paper cutter.  The first cut is the deepest doesn’t apply to paper cutters that never make a clean cut.  I considered other options for the scissors as I made the final cut.

Alphabetical order seemed like a good idea (remember the file was set up wrong originally).    I hurriedly spread out the schedules on the conference table only to have the air conditioned dispersed them all over the room.

Here are two more views of my office.  Kathy Mitchell eat your heart out.
